Job DutiesAs the receptionist, this position will provide effective and efficient customer services; provide rotational receptionist coverage for day shift; process incoming and outgoing facility mail; communicate, via radio, with Security, Environmental Services and Safety as necessary.
- Working knowledge of office practices, procedures, and current office equipment.
- Typing, data entry, use of office equipment and systems such as postal meter and scale, photocopiers, PCs and software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of relational databases.
- Format reports and data for administrative management of resources.
- Learn operation of office equipment as updated or upgraded.
- Standard English grammar, punctuation, and usage.
- Communicate with staff and public harmoniously.
- Basic computational arithmetic and postal rules and regulations.
- Interpret and follow oral and written instructions and policies; collect, assemble, and maintain information for logs and reports.
- Experience as a receptionist or demonstrating possession of preceding knowledge, skills, and abilities in a professional office.
- Multi-line phone experience required.
- Microsoft Office experience required.
- Advanced office management degree from a recognized/certified school.
- Prior hospital experience.
