Our client, a leading logistics and mail services provider, is seeking a Mailroom Clerk to join their team. As a Mailroom Clerk, you will be part of the Mail Services department supporting daily mail and package distribution operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location:

Roanoke, VA

Pay Range: $17.50

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break

What's the Job?

• Sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages for accurate distribution and dispatch
• Open envelopes manually and apply correct postage using provided templates and postage meters
• Examine outgoing mail for appearance and proper sealing
• Record certified mail and track incoming packages using scanning systems
• Assist with packing and shipping items via UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS, ensuring proper packaging and billing

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Familiarity with handling pallets, loading, and unloading trucks
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs comfortably
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access database (preferred)
• Reliable and detail-oriented with good organizational skills
