Community Engagement Coordinator
The Gloucester County Community Engagement & Public Information Department is seeking an energetic, passionate, and reliable full-time Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team. Under general supervision, the Community Engagement Coordinator performs administrative, communications, and community engagement work in planning, developing, coordinating, and evaluating school and community involvement initiatives for Gloucester High School. Work involves leading a comprehensive communications and engagement program that strengthens relationships among students, families, staff, alumni, business partners, community organizations, and the public.
The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as a highly visible representative of Gloucester High School and is responsible for enhancing the school's public image, strengthening school communications, developing and maintaining a consistent school brand, and promoting the mission, accomplishments, programs, and culture of Gloucester High School through print, digital, social, and in-person engagement strategies. Responsibilities include oversight of school communications platforms, media relations, community partnerships, volunteer coordination, event promotion, and public engagement initiatives.
The employee must exercise independent judgment, initiative, creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail in all areas of communication, branding, and program management. Frequent interaction with school officials, staff, students, families, community partners, alumni, media representatives, and the public require exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Reports to the Community Engagement Supervisor.
