Description

Job Summary

The Small Engine & Quick Lube Mechanic is to handle both small engine repairs and quick lube services. This position involves diagnosing and repairing small engines (such as lawn equipment, ATVs, and golf carts) while also performing routine automotive maintenance like oil changes and fluid checks. The Small Engine & Quick Lube Mechanic is required to be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Required

  • Experience in small engine repair and basic automotive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of engine systems, lubrication, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment and work in various conditions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Certification in small engine repair or automotive service (ASE or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Typical Schedule

Days

Monday through Friday; weekends as needed

Hours

Flexible shifts but main hours are 7:30am-4:00pm

Core Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines (2-stroke and 4-stroke) and related equipment.
  • Perform routine automotive services including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Inspect and maintain belts, hoses, tires, and other basic vehicle components.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues.
  • Maintain accurate service records and manage parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Communicate repair needs and service recommendations clearly to customers.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
