Virginia State Inspector and Emissions- South Riding

Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto provides a full-service solution for automotive and repair needs, including tire replacement and inspections, and maintenance packages.

The State Inspector will perform state inspections alongside ASE Certified Automotive Technicians. Training is provided to advance to ASE Automotive Technician certification. This is an opportunity to begin a successful career.

Compensation

• Up to $25/hr – Inspector Only (must have VA state safety and VA Emissions inspector certification)
• Up to $45/hr – Technician with CRT (VA state safety and VA Emissions inspector where applicable)
• Sign-on bonus up to $1,000

• Successfully complete inspections on customer's vehicles.
• Safely transport customers to and from their place of residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Picks up parts, supplies, tires, etc. from vendors and/or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operates company vehicle safely and courteously, obeying all traffic laws.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections following all company and state guidelines.
• Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and tire rotation.
• Performs oil changes and other basic services at the direction of the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
• Observes general vehicle condition and points out any obvious needed repairs or safety concerns during basic services.
• Utilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to document vehicle condition.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop, service area, tire racks, showroom, and building exterior.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and pass MVR screening.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Current Virginia state inspector's license + Emissions.
