Automotive Maintenance Technician

Bobby’s Auto Service Center is hiring a reliable, skilled, and motivated Automotive Maintenance Technician to join our team.

This is a full-time, on-site position in a professional, fast-paced, and well-equipped independent repair shop. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands that quality workmanship and customer safety come first.

• Performing routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
• Mounting and balancing tires.
• Performing tire repairs using tire plugs.
• Inspecting and maintaining Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).
• Replacing and relearning TPMS sensors when necessary.
• Checking battery condition and replacing batteries when needed.
• Checking and adjusting tire pressure to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspecting vehicles for oil leaks and other maintenance concerns.
• Inspecting front suspension components for wear or potential safety issues.
• Checking and maintaining vehicle fluid levels, filters, belts, and other routine maintenance items.
• Performing minor repairs, such as replacing bulbs and other basic components.
• Performing preventive maintenance to improve vehicle safety, reliability, and longevity.
• Communicating clearly with customers, technicians, and management regarding vehicle condition and recommended repairs.
• Troubleshooting maintenance concerns and resolving issues efficiently.
• Maintaining accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Following proper shop safety procedures and industry standards.
• Managing time effectively and maintaining a productive workflow.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 3 years of automotive maintenance and repair experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal automotive training is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must have your own professional set of automotive tools.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while also being a dependable team member.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Punctuality and dependable attendance are essential.
