Job Description
The Quality Trainer - Packing is responsible for developing, delivering, and sustaining Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) training within Packing operations at the Virginia site. This role combines hands-on QEHS technical execution with structured training leadership to ensure consistent application of standards, compliance requirements, and best practices across all shifts.
The Quality Trainer performs the full scope of QEHS Technician responsibilities while serving as the site lead for Packing QEHS training, onboarding, skill development, and standardization. This position maintains technical credibility by remaining embedded in operations while building long-term capability across the team.
Approximately 60% of the role is dedicated to training development, delivery, coaching, and documentation, with 40% spent actively supporting Packing QEHS execution
Description:
As a Quality Trainer - Packing, you will:
Lead QEHS Execution:
Coordinate activities such as First Production Release (FPR), inspections, audits, and quality verification. Serve as the on-shift QEHS technical authority, identifying deviations and initiating corrective actions.
Develop Training:
Create and deliver impactful QEHS training using structured methodologies like TWI Job Instruction. Lead onboarding, certification, cross-training, and upskilling activities to build long-term site capability.
Drive Improvement:
Serve as the site expert for QEHS standards, deploying and sustaining procedures, training content, and standard work. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends and development opportunities.
Promote Safety Culture:
Engage with teams to reinforce quality and safety expectations, participating in shift meetings and communications to identify training needs.
Must Haves:
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in Packing, manufacturing, or QEHS-related roles.
Skills:
Strong communication and coaching abilities, attention to detail, and disciplined documentation practices.
Certifications:
Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Proficiency:
Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, MES preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with TWI Job Instruction or other structured training methodologies.
Familiarity with LEAN principles, standard work, or continuous improvement tools.
Prior QEHS Technician experience in Packing operations.
Experience leading certification programs or structured skill development initiatives.
Hours:
Initial schedule is 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM; however, hours are subject to change based on business needs. Flexibility is required to support 24/7 operations.
Pay Rate: $28.93 per hour
