Job SummaryThe Service Sales Specialist delivers effective sales leadership, supervision, and delivery of projects within field service, operations, and manufacturing. The role ensures successful delivery of quotes, compliance with specifications, on-time and on-budget order fulfillment, and maintains close cooperation with project owners.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Provide service quotes to support projects in the field, defining scope, cost estimates, goals, and deliverables.
- Manage service sales contracts, including risk management and contractual obligations.
- Prepare contractual claims such as extensions of time, prolongation cost, acceleration cost, and other support claims for field service projects.
- Proficiently manage project schedules and respond promptly to all sales requests.
- Resolve and, when necessary, elevate issues in a timely fashion.
- Communicate sensitive information tactfully.
- Understand basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections.
- Understand pricing models and billing procedures.
- Follow up with clients on unpaid invoices.
- Ensure all service sales legal documents are completed and signed in a timely manner.
- Review project scope to ensure cost and profitability targets are met.
- Maintain lessons learned and share them with management.
- Documentation and Record Management – proficient in process documentation and data retrieval.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and organized.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years in a sales-related field (preferred).
The role requires close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data, viewing computer terminals, and expansive reading. No significant exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
