Salary GS-09: $62,640.00 to $81,436.00

Duties
  • You will perform inspections and technical assessments for determining material condition and configuration.
  • You will perform configuration management, part cannibalization, maintenance, preservation, packaging and storage.
  • You will manage inventory availability, control, accuracy, evaluate and resolve any discrepancies or confused material.
  • You will determine and evaluate packaging, preservation levels, storage categories, develop and execute storage and warehousing plans.
  • You will provide emergent preparation and expedition of equipment including Casualty Report (CASREP) processing.
  • You will operate material handling equipment such as fork trucks and vehicles to store, relocate, deliver and ship material.
  • You will perform dept level maintenance and repair services for specialized handling equipment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre‑appointment physical examination.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • Work requires operation of fork trucks, hand trucks and dollies. Associated training with these types of equipment must be completed successfully and licenses maintained.
Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience performing a wide variety of services associated with equipment data such as manufacturing processes, materials, and maintenance requirements.
  • Experience demonstrating an understanding of configuration management, parts cannibalization, maintenance, preservation, packaging, and storage.
  • Experience researching technical and logistic research and material management services and be able to identify unknown material.
  • Experience maintaining the warehouse and ensuring efficient utilization of space and providing inventory reports.
  • Experience with the ability to coordinate shipping and receiving actions and demonstrate experience in inventory and transactional accuracy and storage compliance.
  • Experience utilizing a license to operate material handling equipment such as fork trucks and vehicles to store, relocate, deliver, and ship material.
