Location: McGaheysville
Summary
Lil' Bloomer's Daycare, located in McGaheysville, is seeking both part‑time and full‑time teachers for evening shifts. We serve ages newborn to the start of kindergarten and are open Monday‑Friday from 6:30 am to 6 pm. Paid holidays are offered after six months of employment and paid vacation after 12 months. We are flexible and work with individuals who are attending college or have other commitments.
Six or more months of childcare experience is required. We are looking for dedicated, hardworking individuals who love teaching early learners. Our curriculum is STREAMin3 and we participate in Mixed Delivery.
- Teach a class of children in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
- Prepare daily lesson plans.
- Arrange the learning environment in the classroom.
- Maintain open communication between the director and parents/guardians (including newsletters, daily activity records, parent conferences, and development evaluations).
- Oversee and supervise the children in the classroom.
- Help with meals and preparation of snacks.
- Maintain professional attitudes, behaviors, and dress at all times while on duty.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Help with daily cleaning and chores.
- Change diapers and assist with toileting for children who are potty‑training.
- Accept direction from and cooperate with the director, lead teachers, and fellow employees.
- Work both individually and as a team member with people of diverse educational, ethnic, cultural, and socio‑economic backgrounds, including children, parents, staff, and the general public.
- Help teachers prepare lesson plans and crafts.
- Maintain open communication between the director and parents/guardians.
- Oversee and supervise the children in the classroom.
- Help with meals and preparation of snacks.
- Maintain professional attitudes, behaviors, and dress at all times while on duty.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Help with daily cleaning and chores.
- Change diapers and assist with toileting for children who are potty‑training.
- Accept direction from and cooperate with the director, lead teachers, and fellow employees.
- Work both individually and as a team member with people of diverse educational, ethnic, cultural, and socio‑economic backgrounds, including children, parents, staff, and the general public.
- At least six months of childcare experience for lead teacher positions.
- No childcare experience required for teacher assistants.
- All staff members must pass background checks and a TB test.
- Completing required training such as CPR and first aid within the first 90 days of employment.
