Job SummaryAs a Substitute Teacher at Celebree School of Bristow, you will step in to support classrooms and ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. You will follow daily routines, assist with age-appropriate learning activities, and provide quality care that aligns with our commitment to early childhood education and development. This flexible, on-call position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and thrive in dynamic, team-oriented environments.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Assist lead teachers in classroom management, ensuring compliance with all regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Follow established lesson plans and daily routines.
- Engage children in age-appropriate learning activities, games, and storytelling.
- Assist with feeding, diapering/toileting, and other basic care needs.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, staff, and parents.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Present a positive and professional image at all times, adhering to uniform requirements.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of childcare experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and meet local Virginia childcare licensing requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexibility and reliability for on-call or short-notice assignments.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Physical ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
