Construction Safety Specialist

Locations - North Anna (Mineral VA), Mount Storm, Chester VA, Portsmouth VA, Bermo Bluff VA, Surry VA.

• Serve as the Owner Safety Representative supporting utility‑scale solar and BESS construction projects
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor safety performance to ensure compliance with OSHA standards, project requirements, and owner expectations
• Conduct routine field observations, safety audits, and inspections of construction activities
• Identify hazards and unsafe conditions; coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project leadership
• Document observations, findings, and corrective actions clearly and accurately
• Interpret, reference, and cite applicable OSHA construction standards in field situations
• Support implementation and enforcement of project safety policies and procedures
• Participate in safety meetings, incident reviews, and project planning discussions
• Assist with incident investigations and communicate lessons learned across project teams
• Utilize digital tools, mobile applications, and reporting platforms to document safety activities and maintain project records
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement
