Waco, Inc. has an immediate need for an Estimator to support our general commercial construction water/wastewater treatment projects. As an estimator, you play a critical role within our team by evaluating bid documents’ specification, scope of work, and pricing requirements; and producing comprehensive estimates for the General Construction Industry. Waco, Inc. is a 63-year-old established company with growth opportunity.

The Estimator plays a key role in the support of Waco, Inc.’s preconstruction and operating by performing detailed material and labor take-offs from engineer drawings and specifications. The Estimator will focus on Waco’s General Construction and the Water/Wastewater Construction of Process Plants, Pump Stations, Lift Stations, and both New Construction and Station Upgrades.
Responsibilities- Review and evaluate requests for estimates and prepare project information for management selection to pursue
- Prepare detailed conceptual and hard bid estimates for commercial construction
- Prepare cost analysis by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs; including overhead and profit
- Attend client pre-bid meetings, project showing, site visits
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Coordinating with operation and project management teams during project turnover
- Identifying project risk, scope gaps, and cost savings opportunities
- 5-8 Years experience in estimation with a general contractor or a water/wastewater specialty contractor
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field experience preferred
- Experience with estimating software and construction management tools (Trimble, Procore, Accubid, Microsoft, or similar)
