Geotechnical General Foreman/Field Trainer
Travel
: regional travel required in Mid-Atlantic
Salary: $30 - $50 per hour, 75 - 150k
Reporting to the Geotechnical Group operations manager or Project manager the Geotechnical Foreman/Group Leader oversees and trains field employees on each project. This position seeks a strong operator who understands drilling and using micropile/anchor drills and grout plants.
This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.

Primary
The breakdown of essential functions is as follows:
- Trains Geotechnical division work force in the field, to include labor crews, micro pile labor crews, operators, etc.
- Extensive understanding of foundation and earth retention work, drilling equipment, tooling, cranes and their capabilities.
- Provides hands-on mentorship and supervision on site throughout various projects.
- Educates field employees in all aspects of the work.
- Coordinate appropriate training with safety departments and training centers.
- Ensures construction operations are safe by OSHA and Wagman standards.
- Monitors work activities and ensures quality control is consistent.
Additional Functions
- Reviews and understands site specific plans and specifications.
- Reviews weekly plans with field supervision (field superintendents and foremen); projects three week look ahead.
- Determines workforce needs and equipment requirements; assists in ordering materials and ensuring proper types.

- Approves hours worked on project as needed; trains foremen in proper submission of field hours.
- Computer literate in Microsoft programs, OnBase, heavy jobs.
- Perform 90 day evaluations; speak with field supervision on crew activity and performance.
- Act as point of contact for field superintendents and facilitate effective communication across projects and locations.
Physical Requirements Of The Essential Functions
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds from ground level to waist level.
- Must be able to bend, squat, and kneel occasionally throughout a scheduled work shift.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Continuous standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift.
- Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands.
- Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather.
- Acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing required.
