Responsibilities- Support plant objectives by creating videos, articles, and materials – validating information through interaction with employees and the Communications Team.
- Build campaigns with creative writing, videography, and photography to engage the Volvo Family and elevate the brand.
- Collaborate with Communications, business, and plant personnel to inspire positive Volvo culture for better business results.
- Create and optimize engaging content by assisting, developing, and producing media content.
- Utilize Microsoft bundles:
InDesign, production software, and basic knowledge of systems including PCs, photography, video, and printing of signs and banners.
- Minimum education:
pursuing a business, marketing, or communication degree at an accredited school with at least 30 semester hours completed prior to the start of the internship. - Minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Fall interns may work up to 30 hours per week.
- Intern or Co‑Op positions must upload an unofficial transcript when submitting an application.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading, and speaking.
- Proficiency in photography, videography, and video production for in‑house and social media.
- Ability to tailor communication style based on platform and audience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments.
- High interpersonal skills with professionalism and independence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of professional Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In, and You Tube accounts, including advertising opportunities.
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop and/or Canva preferred.
- Hourly rate: $17.00 – $46.00, based on geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area.
