CEREMONIAL BAND DIRECTOR

YORKTOWN, VA

Responsibilities- Direct the band in musical warm‑up.
- Ensure other musical and sound needs are met as they relate to the performance of the band.
- Set up and clean‑up of music area to include instruments, music stands, etc. upon completion of rehearsals and performances.
- Direct all musicians in the performance of the band.
- Direct the band in no less than two (2) rehearsals per week.
- Lead the band in warm‑up.
- Rehearsals shall be at least one (1) hour in duration.
- The applicant shall be able to read music and arrange music according to the skill of a musician of similar education and experience. A minimum of two years (2 years) experience.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Music from an accredited institution is encouraged.
