Graduate Architect – Fairfax, VA

Dewberry Architects is seeking an energetic Graduate Architect to join our Fairfax, VA office. The ideal applicant must have completed an Architectural degree and have experience in the building design field.

Responsibilities

A designer works under the supervision of the Project Architect and/or Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with the keen ability to translate design intent into drawings. Strong communication (written and verbal) and collaboration skills are paramount. Qualified candidates should possess strong organizational skills, an ability to formulate, research and ask pertinent questions, and the initiative to take on design or technical challenges.

Working as part of a small team, the Designer will have exposure to the full architectural process.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture from an accredited university
  • 0‑2 years of experience
  • Strong design skills and a desire to develop technical expertise
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  • Rendering abilities and graphic experience a plus
  • Preferably LEED AP and knowledge of sustainable design principles

Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and the ability to pass a background check.
