Responsibilities- Sourcing and attracting candidates by using databases, recruiting sourcing tools, etc.
- Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
- Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives.
- Screen candidates' resumes and job applications.
- Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule.
- Assess applicants' relevant skills, knowledge, and organizational fit.
- Onboard new employees to become fully integrated with the organization.
- Deep understanding of the organization's plans and priorities; use this knowledge to create and execute talent acquisition strategies and plans.
- Understanding workforce planning and staff forecasting, and how this feeds into recruiting activities and timelines.
- Actively keep management aware of progress.
- Sources candidates to fill priority roles.
- Work with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, including pre-award.
- Identify improvement areas; execute improvement actions.
- Creating and delivering Excel-based reports.
- Determine where/if when to use 3rd party resources.
- Education:
An undergraduate degree in human resources, business and/or a related discipline is required. - Professional
Qualifications:
2+ years recruiting experience. - Prior experience successfully sourcing high quality candidates within a construction and engineering organization.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment / the candidate is switches on.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical thinker, comfortable working with data/Excel.
- Strategic thinker - and a hands-on doer.
- Able to work with ambiguity and change. Be able and willing to solve challenges through innovation; able to work with minimal direction and supervision; proactive, not reactive.
- Experience with HR systems and tools such as an ATS and HRIS.
- Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
- Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
- Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
- Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Identify and understand the speech of another person.
