As a Design Architect working with the Advanced Facilities group, you will help us design state‑of‑the‑art mission‑critical, semiconductor, life sciences buildings and other advanced facilities powering our virtual world today and into the future. Working with our team in Pittsburgh, PA, you will have the opportunity to support business development and client engagement, as well as promote overall design quality. You will be part of a team performing conceptual, layout, and detailed design tasks, coordinating design and construction activities, studies and various analyses.
You’ll be utilizing your technical expertise mentoring junior team members and developing detailed design solutions.
- Under general supervision competently perform all conventional aspects of architectural design and analysis
- Plan and conduct work requiring judgement and evaluation, selection and adaptation of architectural techniques and criteria
- Exercise judgement and problem‑solving skills, reaching out to others for guidance or confirmation when questions arise.

- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and/or mentorship to designers/drafters and less experienced engineers.

- Lead a team of designers responsible for an area of design in the development of layout, technical design, construction drawings, specification, and model creation.
- Attend project meetings and take an active role to help team resolve concerns and solve problems across all disciplines.
- Participate in and champion internal, cross‑discipline, and external project quality reviews.

Requirements- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
- Professional Architecture license in the U.S.
- At least 10‑15 years of architecture experience.
- Experience with building codes and specifications.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Registered Architect license.
- Experience with Sketch Up, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Navisworks.
- Experience in semiconductor, mission‑critical, life sciences, bio‑pharma, or other advanced facilities.
- Ability to travel.
- Experience providing personnel management and directing daily activities of a small team.
- Awareness of sustainability and emerging technologies.
- LEED accreditation.

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
