Job Description OB/GYN Physician – Locum Tenens | Virginia

Start October 20, 2026 | 13 Weeks with Ongoing Potential

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Virginia.

This assignment primarily consists of 24-hour in-house OB/GYN coverage from 8:00 AM–8:00 AM. The facility is located in a rural market and offers flexibility in arranging coverage blocks based on physician availability.

The physician will support a Family Birth Center with a moderate patient and delivery volume, providing labor and delivery coverage, management of OB and GYN presentations, emergency GYN services, and occasional clinic support.

Highly Competitive Compensation

24-Hour In-House Coverage: $2,400/day – includes first 2 hours of clinical work
Additional Clinical/Callback: $320/hour after the first 2 included hours
Regular Hourly: $250/hour

• Initial Contract: 13 weeks with ongoing potential
• Coverage: 24-hour in-house coverage
• Shift: 8:00 AM–8:00 AM
• 24-Hour Pay: $2,400/day
• Included Hours: First 2 hours of clinical work are included in the 24-hour rate
• Additional Clinical/Callback: $320/hour after the first 2 included hours
• Regular Hourly: $250/hour
• Clinic: $225/hour
• Holiday 24-Hour Coverage: $3,600/day
• Holiday Callback: $480/hour
• Approximately 25–30 deliveries per month
• Approximately 75 OB/GYN patient encounters per month
• OR located on the unit
• Call room available
• Nearby hotel accommodations permitted for locum physicians
• EMR: Epic
• Travel expenses available per assignment guidelines
• Active Virginia license required
• IMLC not accepted
