  • Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (On-call until 5:00 PM on Fridays)

  • License/Certifications: Medical License in Virginia, Infectious Disease Certification (if applicable)
  • Experience: Inpatient Infectious Disease care, 3+ years preferred

What You’ll Do
  • Provide inpatient care and manage new inpatient consults at Stafford Hospital and Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with infectious diseases, ensuring high-quality clinical care.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient treatment plans.
  • Take call for new inpatient consults, ensuring timely and effective patient management.
  • Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Participate in hospital rounds and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
What You Need
Required:
  • Valid Medical License in Virginia
  • Inpatient Infectious Disease experience or equivalent
  • Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
Preferred:
  • Experience with hospital-based infectious disease management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
