The facility operates as a community hospital outpatient oncology center classified as a non-trauma facility. Established clinical protocols and structured workflows are in place to support coordinated oncologic care delivery throughout the covered assignment period. The facility is staffed by 6 RNs, 1 PA/NP, and 6 office staff to facilitate quality patient care.

The Virginia region offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor, historical, and recreational attractions suited to varied interests. The area features natural landscapes, outdoor recreation opportunities, and historical destinations accessible throughout the region, as well as diverse leisure and entertainment options for those seeking activities during their time away from the assignment.

Clinicians will provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage in Virginia, managing 12-15 patients per day with 12-15 new consults expected. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment and is structured as beeper-only for established patients, with a volume of approximately 2-5 phone contacts per week. The clinical scope encompasses the evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions within a community hospital outpatient oncology center setting.

Board certification in Hematology/Oncology is negotiable for this locum tenens engagement.
