Neonatal Hospitalist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced, Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist for a per diem Neonatal Hospitalist position at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care across the NICU and Newborn Nursery. Clinicians will work collaboratively alongside experienced neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners in a supportive, dynamic environment.

Practice Info

• 22-bed Level III NICU with private rooms
• Approximately 1,700 annual deliveries
• Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries
• Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Diagnose and manage newborn medical conditions
• Care for premature and medically complex infants in conjunction with the Neonatologists
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

Requirements

• Board Certification in Pediatrics with recent experience in Neonatology required
• VA license required
• Newborn airway management including intubation skills required
• Umbilical arterial and venous catheter placement skills required
