Neonatal Pediatric Hospitalist

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Neonatal Hospitalist to join their established neonatal team at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Providers will deliver high-quality care across the NICU and Newborn Nursery in a collaborative environment alongside experienced neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners. This role offers the opportunity to attend high-risk deliveries, manage medically complex infants, and expand procedural skills.

• 22-bed Level III NICU with private rooms
• Approximately 1,700 annual deliveries

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries and expand procedural skills
• Provide comprehensive care in the NICU and Newborn Nursery
• Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
• Diagnose and manage newborn medical conditions
• Care for premature and medically complex infants in conjunction with the neonatologists
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes

Requirements

• Newborn airway management including intubation
• Umbilical arterial and venous catheter placement
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Experience in neonatal care preferred
