Responsibilities- Navigate the day s activities alongside our infants, offering gentle guidance and support as they navigate their first steps.
- Manage the Infant classroom ensuring compliance with all Office of Child Care regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents, and visitors.
- Create and implement thorough, timely lesson plans that are age-appropriate and stimulating in accordance with Celebree’s infant curriculum
- Ensure the classroom is a safe, clean, and inviting space where curiosity can flourish.
- Accurately complete all paperwork, electronic reports, supervision records, and attendance tracking
- Must meet Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) Lead Teacher qualifications
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience working in a licensed preschool or early childhood education setting
- One of the following credentials:
- CDA (Child Development Associate)
OR - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field OR
- Equivalent education/training as approved by VDSS
- CDA (Child Development Associate)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Completion of required VDSS training, including:
- Child Abuse & Neglect
- Health & Safety
- Medication Administration (if applicable)
- Ability to pass all required background check
- 2+ years of experience as a Lead or Co-Lead Teacher
- Experience implementing a structured or research-based curriculum
- Knowledge of Virginia licensing standards and classroom compliance
- Experience mentoring or supporting assistant teachers
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development
