We strive to make music lessons as accessible and affordable to as many people as possible because we believe music education is essential to making the world a better, happier place.
Taylor Robinson Music is hiring private music instructors, especially for Guitar. We do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in the Free Union, VA area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP.
Lessons can occur in the students' homes; in your own home or studio; or via webcam. Most students prefer in-person lessons, so we need local instructors who can host students and/or are willing to travel to students in the Free Union, VA area.
You would be paid on an independent contractor basis between $20-$30 per hour depending on travel time, your experience/education, and your student retention rate. You have the freedom to set your own schedule and your own curriculum/lesson plans. We take care of all advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing so you can focus on the music.
If you are great with kids, love teaching, keep good communication with our office, and are organized and punctual for all lessons, Taylor Robinson Music may be the place. Formal music training is not mandatory but EITHER a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience is a must.
Qualifications- A degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience.
- Experience teaching guitar, or willingness to teach guitar.
- Ability to travel to students in the Free Union, VA area and to hold lessons in students’ homes, your home, or your studio.
- Organization, punctuality, and communication with the office.
- Provide private guitar lessons in-person or via webcam as requested.
- Set lesson plans and curriculums tailored to individual student goals.
- Communicate regularly with the office and students about appointments.
- Maintain a professional schedule and adhere to agreed lesson times.
Wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when applicable.
