Special Education Teacher in Stuart, VA

Two Special Education Teachers are needed:

• Position 1 serves grades K through 7th, managing a caseload of 17 students.
• Position 2 focuses on grades 4th through 7th, with a caseload of 16 students.

Key

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with diverse student populations and a range of disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Compassion, adaptability, and commitment to student success
• Previous school-based experience is highly valued

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students' unique learning needs
• Develop, write, and update IEPs in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate records of progress and work proactively with staff to support inclusion
• Assess student abilities, track progress toward goals, and communicate findings to all stakeholders
• Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Adapt teaching strategies and instructional materials to meet varying student needs
• Engage with parents and guardians regularly to maintain ongoing partnerships
