Each position is 37.5 hours per week and focuses on serving students in Grades K-5 within small, supportive classroom environments.

One role involves teaching a Life Skills classroom for students requiring individualized daily living and communication instruction. The other focuses on self-contained and pull-out academic support, allowing for close collaboration and tailored learning experiences. Both classrooms are designed to ensure manageable class sizes-capped at 10 students-enabling meaningful connections and customized attention. Paraprofessionals are present in both settings, providing essential classroom support so you can focus on impactful instruction and student progress.

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a Life Skills or self-contained classroom
• Knowledge of IEP processes, accommodations, and modifications
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment
• Flexibility, creativity, and patience when adapting to student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student's goals
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Monitor and document student progress, maintaining detailed records
• Promote a structured, supportive, and respectful classroom atmosphere
