SummaryLeads, directs, coordinates, and evaluates instructional, administrative and other school programs and activities to include CTE Director. Performs the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Leads the development of school biennial plans and participates in the development of the division’s comprehensive plan. Develops and evaluates school programs to ensure conformance with federal, state and local standards. Collects and analyzes data to determine school needs and establish school goals and objectives to promote school improvement and student achievement.
- Develops and coordinates educational programs through meetings with staff, review of teachers' activities, and issuance of directives.
- Confers with teachers, students, and parents concerning students’ educational and behavioral problems.
- Works with school staff and community to develop and maintain an atmosphere conducive to teaching and learning.
- Directs preparation of class schedules, cumulative records, and attendance reports.
- Monitors the school building and grounds for safety and security, to include emergency procedures and preparation drills as defined by division policy and directives, as well as state and federal requirements.
- Plans and directs building maintenance and custodian responsibilities. Assures the proper utilization, care, cleanliness and attractiveness of school buildings and grounds.
- Develops and administers a school budget utilizing all available funds, aligned with audit requirements, division policy and directives, and state and federal requirements.
- Ensures the maintenance of accurate bookkeeping and accounting of school funds.
- Requisition s and allocates supplies, equipment, textbooks and other instructional materials as needed. Maintains an accurate inventory of school furnishings and equipment.
- Develops and administers educational programs for students with mental or physical disabilities.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with colleges, community organizations, and other schools to coordinate educational services.
- Advises the central personnel office of staff needs, and participates in the recruitment, employment, assignment, promotion, transfer, nonrenewal, and dismissal of professional and classified personnel.
- Supports the School Test Coordinator (STC) in the implementation of state and other assessment programs. Must use all test data to plan and evaluate instructional programs and interventions to promote student achievement.
Supervises and evaluates the performance of each member of the school faculty and staff (teachers, aides, clerical, custodial, food service, bus drivers and substitute teachers) and establishes individual programs for improvement consistent with the division's evaluation of personnel.

Education and/Or ExperienceMaster's degree or equivalent.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, and parents. At least three years of successful teaching experience and the attainment of continuing contract status.
Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret data, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from students, parents, and the community. Ability to effectively present information to employees, administrators, school board…
