Reynolds is committed to hiring and retaining a racially diverse, culturally competent staff at all levels of the organization who reflect the demographics of our students.
We also believe in providing an ongoing investment in our faculty and staff to deepen their skills and competencies to serve the full range of our student population.
Reynolds is seeking an Academic Advisor to support student success through proactive and inclusive advising.
The Academic Advisor will work in person with prospective and currently enrolled students to help them explore and identify career pathways that align with their interests, strengths, and long-term goals. * Participate in ongoing professional development and training
* Support the college's strategic goals and Flight Path initiatives through student-centered engagement
The Advisor will contribute to a collaborative, inclusive environment focused on equity, achievement, and continuous improvement. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of college workflows and processes
* Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and navigate complex student situations with sound judgment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting performance goals and deadlines
* Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators
* Demonstrated reliability, timeliness, and flexibility in managing day-to-day responsibilities
* Willingness and ability to learn and use technology tools to document advising interactions and support student follow-up
Additional Considerations:
* Comprehensive knowledge of curricular programs, academic requirements, career pathways, and enrollment services within a higher education setting
* Ability to apply student development theory to support the academic and personal growth of a diverse student population
* Proficiency in interpreting and communicating institutional policies and procedures
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Ability to work independently while building positive relationships across teams
* Working knowledge of college admission and enrollment processes
* Bachelor's degree
