Salary: Teachers-(Certified) $25.50/hr (Hourly Rate-No Benefits Included)
Degreed (Bachelor's or Higher): $20.40/hr
Associates Degree or Non-Degreed: $15.30/hr

Description
To assist the teacher in achieving instructional objectives by working with students to help them achieve required skill levels
Reports To
Building Principal
Qualifications
- Teacher certification and/or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Associate degree or college credit, High School Diploma, GED required.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates ability to supervise and instruct students.
- Teach small groups as assigned using required materials (adapted to specific groups/subjects) in different parts of the room or in different locations around the school.
- Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills.
- Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work.
- Maintain high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students.
- Monitor student academic performance.
- Participate in in-service training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by building administrators or teacher.
- Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
- Exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone and to enter data into a computer.
- See and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids.
- Hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors and on the telephone.
- Speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds and the ability to bend, stoop, sit on the floor, climb stairs, walk and reach overhead.
- Some teaching specialties (i.e., music, art, physical education, etc.) may require hearing, vision, and physical coordination and/or exertion and effort more than those listed above.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential tasks.
Part-time/Hourly
As per the Work Agreement issued.

Job performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the School Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
