Spanish Teacher

Western Albemarle High & Monticello High Schools, 2026-27 School Year, Full-time (position split 50/50 between the two schools)

• Teach Spanish to middle school students (Grades 7 and
  8)
• Lead classroom instruction and curriculum development
• Inspire students to engage with language learning and cultural exploration

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with an endorsement to teach Spanish at the middle school level (including Grades 7 and
  8)
• Prepared to engage with the Culturally Responsive Teaching model in support of the Equity Mission Statement

• Innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, knowledgeable in their content area and instructional practices, and continually growing and improving
• Passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps
• Prepared to engage with our Culturally Responsive Teaching model in support of our Equity Mission Statement

• Strong instructional support and mentoring from building administrators, instructional coaches, learning technology integrators, diversity resource teachers, and equity specialists
