Hillcrest Baptist Church – Associate Pastor / Family Life Pastor
Hillcrest Baptist Church is seeking a passionate, team‑oriented Associate Pastor (Family Life Pastor) to serve alongside and under the leadership of the Senior Pastor in fulfilling the vision of our church. This role focuses on cultivating vibrant ministry experiences for children, students, and families while strengthening unity across the entire church body.
Position SummaryThe Associate Pastor / Family Life Pastor will provide spiritual leadership, strategic direction, and hands‑on involvement in children’s and student ministries while supporting the overall administration and daily operations of the church. This leader will champion discipleship, develop ministry teams, and help create a unified, Christ‑centered family ministry culture.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Administration- Work closely with the Senior Pastor to accomplish the church’s vision and strategic goals.
- Assist with church-wide planning, ministry coordination, and operational support.
- Help foster a culture of integrity, teamwork, and excellence.
- Identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and ministry effectiveness.
- Provide oversight and vision for children’s and student ministries.
- Recruit, equip, and empower volunteer leaders and ministry teams.
- Develop unified discipleship strategies for children and students.
- Oversee planning and promotion of major events (VBS, camps, outreach events, special activities).
- Prepare and develop curriculum, scheduling, and safety for youth student ministry.
- Build excitement within the congregation for family‑focused ministry.
- Minister to children, students, parents, and adult leaders.
- Be actively involved in the lives of families within the church and community.
- Encourage church‑wide participation in ministry based on spiritual gifts.
- Provide prayer, counsel, encouragement, and support in times of need and celebration.
- A clear calling to pastoral ministry and family discipleship.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build and lead teams effectively.
- Heart for outreach and community engagement.
- Education and ministry experience preferred.
Salary is based upon experience, education, and skill set.
