Coxlease School is a specialised independent school located in the heart of the New Forest in Lyndhurst, catering for children aged 9 to 18 with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and related needs. All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening, including Disclosure & Barring Service checks and provide at least two references covering the last three years, preferably from employers where you have worked with children or vulnerable adults.

We are recruiting a versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant to join the Education team. Depending on your location, the role may be based at the Post 16 Skills Centre in New Milton.

• Provide personalised educational assistance to a pupil requiring additional support.
• Build and maintain a strong rapport with the pupil, understanding their individual needs.
• Implement strategies to enhance the pupil’s learning experience.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
• Support the pupil’s overall development and success.

• Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting.
• Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) appropriate to the teaching and learning environment of learners and young adults.
• Transferable skills and life experience that demonstrate the values needed for the role.
