Alternate Site Teacher
Assume responsibility for delivery of the instructional program to students who cannot attend school. Hold a Virginia Teaching License or be determined eligible for such by the Virginia Department of Education. Demonstrate a willingness to work with all students. Possess high moral standards and integrity. Demonstrate professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with all students, parents, school personnel, and other members of the community.
Ability to work in more than one work location in the course of the day. Ability to monitor and ensure appropriate student behavior. Provides instruction to students. Adapts and modifies curricula and instruction to meet individual needs. Provides students with the identical curricula that the student would receive if ks cooperatively with colleagues, support staff, and the administration. Identifies and obtains needed resources and materials for instruction.
Time assigned as needed by Building Administrator or Instructional Department Administrator. Salary according to School Board Pay Plan. Performance will be evaluated in accordance with School Board Policy and administrative regulations regarding the evaluation of licensed personnel.
