STEM Faculty

We are seeking an innovative and student-focused STEM educator to join Massanutten Academy for the 2026–2027 school year. This role involves teaching upper-level mathematics and computer science while integrating hands‑on, project‑based learning to develop critical thinking, problem‑solving, and academic excellence in a structured environment.

Massanutten Academy - Woodstock, Virginia

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Master's Degree preferred
• Teaching experience in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, STEM, or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, parents, and cadets
• Commitment to fostering a structured and disciplined learning environment
• Experience integrating technology into instruction is preferred

• Teach upper-level Mathematics and Computer Science-based STEM courses
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives
• Incorporate hands‑on, project‑based learning opportunities that encourage critical thinking and problem‑solving
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and cadets
• Maintain an accurate and up‑to‑date grade book
• Mentor cadets through weekly advisory meetings
• Participate in occasional weekend duties and school events
• Adhere to all Academy policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Help maintain and foster a structured, disciplined, and positive classroom environment
• Support the Academy's mission of academic achievement, leadership development, and character education

• Successful completion of a criminal background check prior to employment
• Ability to meet all employment eligibility requirements
