We are seeking a passionate and student-centered English educator to join Massanutten Academy for the 2026–2027 school year. This role focuses on delivering engaging instruction in English and related courses while supporting cadet growth in academics, leadership, and character within a structured learning environment.

Massanutten Academy is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and student-focused educator to join our faculty for the  academic year. Located in the beautiful foothills of the Massanutten Mountains in Woodstock, Virginia, Massanutten Academy provides a structured, supportive environment where students are challenged to achieve academic excellence, develop leadership skills, and grow as responsible citizens.

• Bachelor's Degree required
• Master's Degree preferred
• Teaching experience in English, Language Arts, or related fields preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, parents, and cadets
• Commitment to fostering a structured and disciplined learning environment

• Teach English 9, English 10, Personal & Professional Skills 11 & 12, and other courses as assigned
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and cadets
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date grade book
• Mentor cadets through weekly advisory meetings
• Participate in occasional weekend duties and school events
• Adhere to all Academy policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook
• Help maintain and foster a structured, disciplined, and positive classroom environment
• Support the Academy's mission of academic achievement, leadership development, and character education

• Successful completion of a criminal background check prior to employment
• Ability to meet all employment eligibility requirements
