Paraprofessional (Aide) Position at Fries School
Qualifications:
- Possess Associate's degree, 48 hours of college coursework or successful Paraprofessional assessment score
- Demonstrate ability to assist students with academic, physical or behavioral tasks as directed by the teacher
- Possess willingness to learn specialized instructional/management techniques for students with disabilities
- Possess or ability to obtain CPR and first aid certification and willingness to maintain necessary training/certifications as directed by school division
- Demonstrate knowledge of IDEA, FERPA, HIPPA and other federal and state regulations regarding student welfare
- Demonstrate professional and personal characteristics necessary for effective and positive interactions with students, colleagues, parents and community
- Prefer:
Experience working with children - Training related to working with special needs students
Salary to be determined by Aide Salary Scale, with consideration for education and experience
