Principles of Management. This course teaches management and the core management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. The successful candidate must be committed to SVCC's mission to provide high-quality education to the Southside Virginia community. Course Content & Specific Duties:

• Teach the fundamental management functions: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.
• Focus on the application of management principles to realistic situations managers encounter in pursuit of organizational objectives.
• Deliver instruction in a hybrid format, ensuring high-quality course materials align with college standards.
• Maintain engagement through the college's Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) for the online portion of the course.
• Participate in professional activities and support student success through active engagement.
• Monitor and document class attendance in compliance with college policies, maintaining accurate records and communicating with students and necessary departments as needed to support academic success.
