Classroom and Behavioral Management. This course provides a comprehensive overview of developing positive and inclusive learning environments. The successful candidate must be committed to SVCC's mission to provide high-quality education to the Southside Virginia community. Applications will be received, reviewed, and considered continuously until needed positions are filled.
Course Content & Specific Duties:
- Provide an overview of strategies for developing positive and inclusive learning environments.
- Emphasize practical methods for managing the diverse needs of students to promote academic success.
- Address techniques for establishing and communicating clear expectations for effective instruction.
- Deliver instruction in a hybrid format, ensuring high-quality course materials align with college standards and learning outcomes.
- Maintain engagement through the college's Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) for the online portion of the course.
- Monitor and document class attendance in compliance with college policies, maintaining accurate records and communicating with students and necessary departments as needed to support academic success.
Special Assignments
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Education or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
