College Financial Aid Advisor

GRASP has an opening for a part‑time college financial aid advisor to work at Sussex County High School during the school year. Advisors are assigned to a particular school one day per week during the school year.

• Provide individualized advising to students and parents regarding how best to pay for post‑secondary education.
• Collaborate with all staff in GRASP’s continuous development work in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion, furthering GRASP’s mission.
• Work one day per week at the assigned school during the school year.
• All training is provided: 2–4 days per year in Richmond or virtually.

• College degree required.
• Background check required due to direct work with students in public schools.
• Prior expertise in college financial aid not required; all necessary information is provided in the training program.
• Familiarity with languages other than English is beneficial but not required.
• Committed to confidentiality of student information.
