We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our team at Orange County High as an Environmental Science Teacher. The ideal candidate will foster a love for science in students while providing a comprehensive understanding of scientific concepts and principles. This full‑time position requires a commitment to creating an engaging, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Teach a variety of science subjects, including but not limited to biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to promote improvement.
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and encourages student participation.
• Utilize technology and hands‑on experiments to enhance the learning experience and make scientific concepts accessible.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and participate in school‑wide initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in science education.
• Supervise and mentor students during laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Contribute to the development of science curriculum and participate in faculty meetings and school events.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Science for the appropriate grade levels or willingness to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and principles across various disciplines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Experience in classroom management and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and digital resources to enhance instruction.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable classroom for all students.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community.
• Previous teaching experience at the high school level is preferred but not required.
• Passion for science and a desire to inspire the next generation of scientists.
