Assistant Youth Coordinator
Job DescriptionThe assistant youth coordinator participates in the implementation of the educational and youth policy of the municipality. He/she supervises children during after-school hours, conducts sports activities adapted to different audiences, and actively contributes to the development of actions for young people.
1. After-school Activities
- Welcome and supervise children during after-school hours.
- Design, prepare, and animate educational, cultural, recreational, and civic activities.
- Ensure the physical, moral, and emotional safety of children.
- Promote togetherness, autonomy, and respect for the rules of life.
- Participate in the management of educational materials.
2. Sports Activities
- Design and animate initiation and discovery sports sessions.
- Adapt activities to the abilities and age of participants.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules specific to physical and sports activities.
- Promote the values of sport: respect, cooperation, self-improvement, and fair play.
- Participate in the organization of communal sports events.
Additional Missions
- Actively participate in the organization, preparation, and supervision of all events, animations, and activities for children, adolescents, and young people in the municipality.
- Be a driving force for developing new actions in favor of youth.
- Participate in the creation, launch, and operation of a Teen Club, in collaboration with the Child and Youth Coordinator and relevant partners.
- Contribute to the development of projects that promote youth engagement, citizenship, and participation in communal life.
Cross-cutting Activities
- Participate in service meetings.
- Work in a team with other agents, elected officials, and partners.
- Ensure regular communication with families.
- Participate in the evaluation of actions carried out.
- Apply the procedures and regulations of the local authority.
BPJEPS APT MANDATORY Qualification allowing the supervision of physical and sports activities according to current regulations. Experience with children and adolescents is desirable.
Knowledge
- Understanding of the functioning of local authorities.
- Knowledge of the regulations for collective accommodation of minors.
- Knowledge of the rules for supervision and safety of sports activities.
- Techniques for animation with children and adolescents.
