Overview
Rappahannock Community College (RCC) invites applications for a Librarian. This is a full-time, twelve-month professional faculty appointment with benefits. The position is located on the Glenns campus with occasional travel to the Warsaw campus. The anticipated hiring range is $68,293 – $78,000 and will be commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities- Collaborate with students, staff, and faculty across campuses to support student success and RCC initiatives.
- Provide reference and customer service support to library patrons.
- Assist in configuring and maintaining electronic resources; provide research assistance and library instruction.
- Assist in training, scheduling, and guiding tutors; participate in college committees as requested.
- Support the full services of RCC Learning Resource Centers and partner with the Richmond County Public Library (RCPL).
Finalists may be asked to present as part of the selection process.
Qualifications and Requirements- Experience providing live instruction in library resources and information literacy.
- Experience designing online library instructional materials and using Lib Guides to host content.
- Experience providing library reference services and outreach to support library resources.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of academic library operations, student learning assessment, and library management systems.
- Some library experience preferred; a demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations.
