Student Development (SDV) Adjunct Faculty

Brightpoint Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education and is one of the largest of Virginia’s 23 community colleges. The college serves students and the community at its two campuses in Chester and Midlothian, online, and in locations throughout its service area. • Assist students in making a successful transition to college.
• Provide instruction online or in person at the Chester and Midlothian campuses.
• Teach skills such as self‑management and self‑responsibility to foster academic success.
• Inform students about college policies, procedures, and community resources.
• Guide students through the educational system to move effectively.

• Minimum of a master’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
• Ability to use instructional technologies such as Canvas.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay Band: UG. Salary: $793 – $1,693 per credit hour. Full or part‑time position, work schedule varies. Telework options subject to change.
