Assist student 1-1 daily

Assist teacher with daily instruction

Other duties assigned by the teacher and principal

Knowledge of elementary school activities and programs and the general organization and functions of the school system, sensitivity to persons with different backgrounds is essential when communicating, ability to lead others and gain the respect of parents and teachers and community members.

2 year degree or passed Parapro test. Demonstrated qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, staff, administrators, and parents are required. Must possess good moral character.

Frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting, up to approximately 30 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required. Other limited physical activities are required. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities;

the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise and hazards. Regular contact with staff members, school administrators, students and members of the community is required. Contracted position with health insurance benefits. The Principal will evaluate performance on the ability and effectiveness in carrying out the above responsibilities.
