Job Summary:

The English Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in English language arts, including reading, writing, literature, and language skills. This role involves creating engaging and challenging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment. The English Teacher will also support students' development of critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field. Valid state teaching certification in English or secondary education. Previous experience teaching English language arts preferred. Strong knowledge of English literature, composition, grammar, and language usage. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents. Proficiency in using educational technology and instructional resources.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, sit, and move around for extended periods. Capacity to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of educational materials. Ability to perform tasks involving manual labor, such as setting up classroom activities. Work Environment:
Work is performed in a classroom setting. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for school events and activities.
