Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Adjunct
Teach assigned Electrical and Instrumentation courses and associated labs in accordance with college's workload policy; provide students with course materials including syllabus, grading/attendance policy, and other relevant information in a timely manner; participate in the assessment of student learning outcomes; establish, maintain and submit accurate student and instructional records in a timely manner.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, applied technology, or related field from a recognized, accredited college or university. Knowledge of industrial electricity and instrumentation practices, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and the National Electric Code is required. Demonstration of teaching effectiveness is part of the on-campus interview.
Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred. Industrial maintenance experience, OSHA training, and National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)-based training (or similar) are preferred. Successful college-level teaching experience is preferred, as well as an aptitude for using technology in instructional delivery, familiarity with general education assessment, and a willingness to deliver courses online.
