We are seeking team players for the Pumped Storage Operator Trainee position to work at our Bath County Hydro Power Pumped Storage Station in Warm Springs, Virginia. This remote/rural location requires candidates with a background in power station or industrial/process industry experience.

All applicants should be continuous learners with high standards of performance, safety and professionalism.

Inspect, operate, and monitor equipment used in electricity production; perform daily routine operations; tag equipment for maintenance and valve operations; and make entries into computer-based logbooks.

Operations team members work a 12-hour rotating shift, rotating days and nights, with a 6-day period off every four weeks (DuPont schedule).

Trainees will complete the Pumped Storage Operator Development Program.

Starting pay $29.94 per hour.

• Basic computer skills
• Good physical ability and agility
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, carry, bend, crawl, reach, squat, and climb ladders, poles, and stairs
• Ability to push/pull with arms, legs and body
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and close quarters
• Ability to complete basic fire training, which requires wearing a respirator

Military service members and veterans with ranks E3‑E5, W1‑W2, or O1‑O3, plus an appropriate combination of education and experience, will be considered.
