Summary
Support the health and well-being of our associates by delivering high quality clinical care in a fast-paced work environment. As a Staff Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide direct care, support workplace injury management, and assist with health and wellness programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with plant leadership, Safety, HR, and production teams to promote a safe and healthy workplace.

Schedule
:
Monday through Friday, 7am - 3pm (weekends as needed)
- Provide first aid and triage for non-occupational and occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Demonstrate strong documentation skills for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate off-site referrals, urgent care, or emergency services when necessary.
- Perform return-to-work and fit-for-duty evaluations as directed.
- Conduct post-incident follow-up and monitor recovery progress.
- Maintain OSHA-compliant documentation and injury logs.
- Assist in regulatory reporting requirements (OSHA, workers’ compensation).
- Ensure medical records are maintained in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Participate in internal safety audits and inspections.
- Conduct periodic health screenings.
- Conduct components of the Medical Surveillance Programs, i.e. Bloodborne Pathogen standards, Hearing conservation programs, Vision, Respiratory protection programs, etc.
- Assist with ergonomic assessments in collaboration with Safety.
- Communicate work restrictions clearly to supervisors and HR.
- Partner with safety and operations to reduce lost-time injuries.
- Track and trend injury data for prevention initiatives.
- Educate employees on injury prevention, chronic disease and self-care.
- Support employee wellness initiatives focused on musculoskeletal health, hydration, and injury prevention.
- Provide health education related to repetitive motion, cold environments, knife safety, and PPE use.
- Participate in safety huddles and toolbox talks.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Successful completion of an approved practical nursing program or college program or associate’s degree in a related field.
- 2 - 4 years related work experience (occupational health, urgent care, ER, or industrial setting preferred).
- Current certification in CPR in good standing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, clinical judgment, triage skills and strong documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Phlebotomy skills and Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Position is active and requires movement throughout the processing plant and surrounding environments of the off-site facilities such as feed mills, hatchery, distribution center, and farms.
- Must be able to see, touch, smell & record findings in writing or electronically. Manual dexterity for clinical procedures.
